Honors College

The Honors College challenges students to discover the best in themselves, from critical thinking and curiosity to innovation and comfort with ambiguity. We ask you to help us foster the ground-breaking research, arts and leadership that these students explore before they share their knowledge, experience and skills with their communities.

Fund Designations

The Devine Honors Fellows - Fund to provide full HLC fee scholarships to all student volunteers providing leadership within the HLC. 

M. Neil Browne Student Enrichment Fund - This fund provides resources to faculty members to provide experiential learning opportunities to BGSU Honors students (like attendance at theatre performances, support of invited speakers, and more.)

The Tom Klein Leadership Scholarship - Fund that recognizes up to 2 students per year for their leadership in the Honors College

Honors College Program Fund - The Honors College Program Fund provides general programmatic support for Honors College initiatives. This can range from student research and engagement, general operating assistance, and opportunities for new programming efforts by the college.

Honors College Scholarships Fund - This fund is used to supplement all current Honors College students through scholarship support wherever the need is greatest while recognizing service, leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to liberal arts education.

Alumni Laureate Scholars Fund - More than just a full tuition scholarship, the Alumni Laureate Scholarship is a unique program that provides scholars with opportunities and experiences including mentors and networking with alumni while learning the value of leadership and service. 

J. Robert Bashore Scholarship - The Bashore Scholarships were established in 1983 and are awarded in honor of a former University professor and director of the Honors College, J. Robert Bashore. The Bashore Scholarships reward students with outstanding academic records who have demonstrated curiosity about ideas beyond the narrow limits of one discipline.
